Just Architekten implemented such a design-focused approach for the internationally operating multi-channel agency McCann Worldgroup at its Frankfurt am Main location. The elongated rectangular floor plan covered a total area of 425 square meters, of which 72 were allocated to gastronomy and 68 to office use. The guiding concept of the new interior is dominated by the principle of strong contrast — both in form and in color and light. Black and white, cool austerity, sharp graphic lines, and flowing organic forms are set against one another. The layout is structured by two conical, intersecting axes, with their intersections acting as central communication points. At the center is a brand wall that breaks through the existing contrasts. Its screens display vivid colors and present the various sub-brands of the agency in their individual corporate identities — creating a form of dynamic storytelling. The meeting rooms are embedded within a transparent spatial structure oriented toward perspectives and visual connections. Their names reflect the deliberately diverse approach to working culture: “Business Meeting,” “Casual Meeting,” and “Playful Meeting.” The bright transparency of these spatial boxes supports stimulating sightlines and a fundamental openness in the work process. Textile elements ensure balanced acoustics. In a softer formal language, the rear area of the workspace offers a warm atmosphere with niches and retreat options, as well as flexible working positions such as a seating staircase. The southern corner is dedicated to spontaneous conversations and informal interaction. And here, too — within the ambiance of the bistro kitchen and lounge — the interior design subtly guides users toward both creative and physical relaxation.
