The question of what humans respond to most directly and immediately is easy to answer: it is life itself. As soon as something moves, changes, or expresses a will of its own, we become attentive — perhaps even fascinated. Blossoms unfolding, bumblebees gently buzzing around, babies suddenly smiling — we are drawn to vitality, even in its smallest expressions.

Accordingly, the decision whether to design something in a highly reduced, minimalist, and technically rational way or to employ a broader range of forms, colors, and activities has clear implications for users. Objective purism fosters focus, while diversity and movement stimulate variety. Both approaches are suitable for workspaces, each creating its own specific atmosphere. A company that specializes in working environments across production, logistics, and office settings is naturally particularly sensitive to this — and had to design its own location. The project involved 380 square meters of pure office space and 24 permanent workstations, all accommodated on a single floor of an office building in Stuttgart. Everything begins with an unconventional reception area — a natural and inviting communication zone that also functions as a space for collaboration or events. Adjacent to it is a meeting room with flexible furniture for meetings or creative workshops. The floor plan is defined by a continuous circulation path that feels dynamic and open, encouraging encounters. The office follows a multispace concept, combining workstations with a variety of differentiated work settings. It includes communication zones, meeting rooms, and retreat areas. A work café provides restorative amenities without interrupting productivity, while access to a furnished rooftop terrace allows breaks or spontaneous conversations to be combined pleasantly with food or fresh air. Acoustic considerations are integrated throughout: curtains, acoustic panels on walls and ceilings, and task lighting with integrated acoustic screens are strategically placed. These elements are part of the overall lighting design, which also features atmospheric light islands and carefully positioned decorative fixtures. This approach also highlights the richness of color: turquoise and blue, green and yellow give the office a distinctive and lively character.
