The Conference Centre in Frankfurt a. M. meets the clients’ high expectations for flexibility, functionality and modern multimedia equipment. Thanks to the four newly designed conference rooms and the creation of a plaza as a hub, the space encourages the exchange of ideas in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

It’s All About Relationships

The Conference Centre is located in the mainBuilding in Frankfurt’s Bankenviertel, near to the city center. In order to create a space that meets today’s demands for flexibility and easy communication, the existing floorplan was fundamentally restructured. The centerpiece is now the so-called Plaza, a lounge and meeting place with a view to the green inner courtyard. It also hosts a multifunctional piece of furniture that serves both as a cloakroom and a bar. Connected to the Plaza are four meeting rooms. Serving different purposes – from intimate brainstorming sessions to larger, more formal meetings – each is different in size and character, though all are equipped with a wireless transmission system for presentations. Floor-to-ceiling glass partition walls create visual relationships within the space, underlining the emphasis on communication.

Natural Colors and Touches of Black

The scope of the project also included the design of the furniture and the development of a light and color concept. With its muted natural tones and the use of green, the interior reflects both the classic travertine building façade and the green inner courtyards. To add some contrast, the color black is used in the profiles of the partition walls, the doors and in the lighting elements. A continuous line of light from the foyer into the conference center forms an essential part of the guidance system. Finally, a large-scale photograph staged in a light box creates an eye-catching accent.
