Clear lines, calm atmosphere
With the new digital possibilities, customers’ interaction with companies has seen major changes over the past few years, especially when it comes to banking. This has affected customer service as much as the everyday work routine of bank employees. The premises of Sparkasse Ibbenbüren were re-designed to reflect this trend. Kitzig Interior Design came up with a clever spatial layout to support both employees and customers. Clear, minimalist lines help create an atmosphere which strengthens the idea of personal service and communication. The spacious entrance lounge interprets the classic bank counter with a contemporary twist. ATMs and self-service machines show elegant textile lining, highlighted by statement ceiling lights to illuminate the keyboards and provide orientation within the space.
Central point of contact
Semi-transparent glass walls separate the entrance lounge from the individual consultation rooms. The concept is based on zones. A central point of contact at the heart of the layout is accentuated by a red carpet and opulent indirect lighting. From here, bank employees can lead customers to a variety of different sized consultancy rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Alternatively, there are open seating lounges available for informal discussions, as well as air-conditioned consulting cubes, which can also be used for internal meetings. The glass walls of the cubes are embellished with gentle gradient dots that allow vague insights and views, but without betraying any details. An intelligent lighting system automatically adjusts to the time of year and day to ensure perfect light conditions throughout the premises.
