Based on modules
The new, tailor-made office building complex of Bank Austria in Vienna is home to 5,600 employees on a total of 60,000 sqm. Architectural practice Wideshot, who were commissioned with the interior design, put much thought and effort into providing the space with the structures needed to serve a wide range of functions and procedures. The team developed 15 different modules which can be placed flexibly in the floor plan, a result of an extensive real-life test phase. In the so-called communication zones, the modules serve formal and informal meetings as well as creative breaks, with labels like ‘Come Together’, ‘Touchdown’ or ‘One2One’. The modules in the office zone support a variety of team constellation and are supplemented by versatile meeting boxes.
Material and color system
As the campus covers an enormous area, a material and color system has been implemented that allows visitors and employees to easily find their way around. The color coding was applied to all modules of the office landscape, differentiated according to the designated communication and office zones. In total, there are eight different color schemes for each module. Across the floors, the graphic system changes to reflect different style epochs in an abstracted way.
